Warraroong Estate Vineyard, Winery & Accommodation
- This Hunter Valley vineyard site was initially established in the late 1800's as part of the original Lovedale Daisy Hill Estate vineyard.
- The current 7Ha (18 acre) Hunter Valley vineyard in the Lovedale area was replanted starting in the late 1970's and early 1980's.
- In 2002 Warraroong Estate was purchased by Bob Bradey & Linda Abrahams who have ongoing continued to extensively improve the property.
- We intend this family owned and run vineyard to always remain a small boutique vineyard & winery specialising in grape varietals that suit the region.
- Most of our vineyard is now a very mature 30 years old and right in its prime.
- We currently grow Semillon, Verdelho, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Chenin Blanc & Sauvignon Blanc.
- Our Hunter Valley vineyard production is limited to 2 tonnes or less per acre in order to obtain the most flavour and best quality in the grapes.
- All our grapes are always hand picked to ensure the highest quality fruit is harvested in the best possible condition.
- Our winemaker is Andrew Thomas, the multi-award winning and Hunter Valley 2008 Winemaker of the Year.
- We now have available our famous Long Lunch White, a full fruit driven classic dry white blend of estate grown grapes & we have just released our new Long Lunch Red , an estate grown traditional blend of Shiraz & Malbec.
- Our cellar door on the "off the beaten track" Wilderness Road property in the Lovedale area is located right inside our boutique Hunter Valley winery for a very unique and enhanced wine tasting experience whilst enjoying the fantastic views.
- Warraroong is an aboriginal word for "Hillside" - a stunningly very pretty location of our special Hunter Valley five bedroom self-contained accommodation & very successfully producing vineyard.
- Warraroong - "Difficult to Say, Easy to Drink"
