Warraroong Estate Vineyard, Winery and Accommodation

The Warraroong Estate - Hunter Valley vineyard
  • Warraroong Estate was purchased in 2002 by Bob Bradey and Linda Abrahams who intend this family-owned-and-run vineyard to be a small boutique vineyard and winery specialising in grape varietals that best suit the area Terroir.
  • Most of our vineyard is now a very mature 30 years old and right in its prime, but we have  continued to extensively improve the vineyard.
  • Currently we grow SemillonChardonnay, Verdelho, Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc & Shiraz.
  • Our Hunter Valley vineyard production is limited to two tonnes or less per acre in order to obtain the most flavour and best quality from the grapes.
  • All our grapes are hand picked to ensure the highest quality fruit is harvested in the best possible condition.
  • Our winemaker is Andrew Thomas, the multi-award winning winemaker and Hunter Valley 2008 Winemaker of the Year.
  • We have available our famous 2008 Long Lunch White - a full fruit-driven classic white blend of estate-grown grapes of Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay and Verdelho. We now also have our 2007 Long Lunch Red , an estate grown traditional blend of Shiraz & Malbec.
  • Our cellar door, on the "off the beaten track" Wilderness Road in the Lovedale area, is located right inside our original boutique winery.  You can enjoy a unique and enhanced wine tasting experience with us while enjoying the beautiful view across the Valley.
  • Warraroong is the aboriginal word for "Hillside" which describes the stunningly pretty location for our Hunter Valley five bedroom self-contained accommodation which is surrounded by  our very successfull vineyard.
  • This Hunter Valley vineyard site was initially established in the late 1800's as part of the original Lovedale Daisy Hill Estate vineyard.
